Re: Must-have promega idler/gearbox mods!

There is currently a version 2 in the works that helps the manufacturing process go more smoothly (doesn't effect end result I believe), but it's currently held up by robotics season, which is active. This was recently shared on the Discord but I see that info has not migrated here.

Hope that helps!

That's where the info from the thread came from.

Re: Getting a Mirror Bed

1/4" seems to be a bit thick for the stock Z motor, I would agree 3/16" is a great compromise and still gets you plenty of heat consistency

Re: Getting a Mirror Bed

I personally went to a window shop and had it cut to size. Prices are very cheap there. I measured the black PCB and cut to that size. Polished edges are typically included in price but rounded corners double price easily. I wanted to avoid online in case it arrived shattered.

Re: SD Card Diagnosis

Don't know if this applies, but there is apparently an alternative called TestDisk that is available for Mac and is open source? Quite popular too. https://alternativeto.net/software/disk-drill/?platform=mac Personally I love AlternativeTo.net, it has let me find so much software I would have otherw...

SD Card Diagnosis

I frequently liken the Duet and even Raspberry Pis to dash cams due to the way they handle microSD cards. They can fail, and when do, it's weird failure types. There's a good card testing tool on the Street Guardian Support page -- Software --> Memory Test Software . Here is a [ direct link ] to the...

Re: DIY Filament Dryer

That timer has been working flawlessly so far, I cannot recommend it highly enough!!! Also, I feel dirty doing this, but they overcharge for this so why not? I'm using the official PrintDry specs for how to dry different filaments at what temps and times for my own: [ Filament Drying Guide...

Re: Promega troubleshooting

I keep trying to get people on board, but if your help is better with "just tried this thing that took three seconds, what next?" style, the Discord is just going to be better already. If not the M3D one than there is the community one also (the icon's a blue/red benchy) https://discord.gg/NYnyT3x T...

Re: DIY Filament Dryer

So I realized that in buying two of what came in the first video, I don't have anything to use as a timer! The second video seems to have more brains inside and knows when to shut off by you entering that, though it does cost an extra ten bucks for it. Luckily, you don't have to get complicated to u...
